• I tried to make it so that the text fields/boxes, etc will only be a certain size and length, but none of those short codes work. I even tried the newer ones that came with the update. Still nothing. My assumption is that my theme is overriding all format changes from the plugin. Is there a way to make the Plugin’s styles take precedent over the themes? If it matters I am using a theme called “Multinews”.

Ok, so maxlength works, but the styles that should make the text boxes and areas certain size doesn’t work. I do not have Jetpack enabled, so my guess is that its still the theme taking control. How do I allow for the CF7 code to take control.

Are you sure the theme is overriding? Have you tried switching to another theme?

I am not sure the theme is overriding it, but I cannot test it as it is a live site. I do not know why the “size” shortcode will not work, but others will.

Below is the page I am trying to make a form for. As you can see it is going the full width, the only way I got around it was by putting it in a table and making the width of that acceptable.

Yes, the theme is overriding the style of forms. That is the theme’s intentional design so if you don’t like it, ask the theme seller or use another theme. The size attribute has nothing to do with the visual width of a field, it just decides the logical length of characters.
