Hi. I installed Akismet on this site about a month ago and some spam is still getting through. Below are some examples. Is there anything I can do to catch messages like these? Thanks.

Akismet learns from your “examples” when you mark them as Spam.
All future similar posts will land of spam … or not
Its artificial intelligence, not absolutely predictable.

Also there is no need to give examples here:
    1) Its spam (and Akismet catched that!)
    2) Some of the contacts are PII and not necessarily belong to a spammer

Thanks for your prompt reply. Question: how and where can I mark these as spam? In my email app? Or in the akismet dashboard of the website? Or both? Thanks again.

    Hi there!

You can mark missed spam from comments on the comment admin screen. Some contact form plugins provide a way to mark missed spam. For example, Jetpack contact forms allow you to mark missed spam on the feedback screen. Marking spam in an your email app won’t report the missed spam to Akismet.

Is the missed spam coming from comments or contact form submissions? If it’s from contact form submissions, which contact form plugin are you using on your site?

If you’d like us to look further into the missed spam, you can send examples to the Akismet team at https://akismet.com/contact/
