Some user profiles have disappeared

    Some UM member profiles no longer display. The /members/ page shows that the profile exists, but when we click to view the profile detail, the UM profile page only shows the member name and the WP User “edit” link, while the UM fields and the gear icon are completely missing.

    If we view the WP User “edit” page for some of these missing profiles, the UM Member Role [dropdown select] field is also missing.

    I tried to deactivate and reactivate the plugin, and the problem persists.

    I started to delete the plugin (and then to reinstall), but when I hit the Delete button there is a message asking if I wanted to “delete the plugin and its data.” I do not want to delete the data. In UM Settings > Misc the button to delete data on uninstall is not ticked.

    Is it safe to delete and reinstall, will our data be preserved? and is this the correct path to deal with this issue?

    UPDATE: I turned off “custom settings to this form” and the issue was resolved.

    I read on another post that there is an issue when a role is selected in “Make this profile form role-specific.” I did have a role selected, but it was not the member role. I changed to a member role and that also resolves the issue.

    NOTE: There is no way to de-select all roles. One must choose a role once a role is initially selected.

    Hi @evollo,

    Please keep in mind that if you are using unique profile forms for different user roles you have to create profile forms for every user role.
    Please check this doc for additional info.
