Some users not showing up

    Hi,

    I created an author list using the Starbox shortcodes, I don’t know if there is an easier way to do this but my client wanted an alphabetical order or all “Authors” on the site. I added them manually to a Divi page and for a long time they show up no problem. This site has over 200 authors and it was very time consuming, on top of that when they want to add or delete an author I typically have to do it for them. Is there an easier way?

    More importantly some of the Authors are not showing up on the page anymore. I have their shortcode added properly and it seems over half of them just dont show up, no idea why this happened. I did find a solution, I have to go into each user that is not showing up and toggle the “Show The Starbox for this Author” button from “On” to “Off”>Save>back “On”. Is there any easier way to do this? How can I prevent this issue from happening again?

  • I noticed this with a recent update. Since the site I work with has many fewer authors but has a similar listing, I noticed the only ones missing were the authors that did not have bios. The shortcode still existed but displayed nothing when no bio existed, adding a bio made the author box appear again.

    Not sure if that will fix your problem, but it did fix mine.

    Hi,

    This is what we fixed in the last version of the plugin. We add the default settings for the user author box to show it even if you don’t have a custom BIO for it.
