@mateuszgbiorczyk thank you for your fast answer.

You can see the problem here: https://neu.raesfeld-gmbh.de/projekt/abbruch-in-seppenrade/#lg=1&slide=4

but i like to have the plugin turned of, until the problem is fixed. I leave the plugin actived till I have a answer.

@florih Thank you very much. Now I know what you mean. The orientation of the image is saved in the EXIF ??data. This is a very interesting case.

How do you save these pictures? I would like to understand how such images (the original ones) are created.

sorry for using the wrong word, I’m from Germany and my English isn’t the best.

the pictures where taken from the client. He gave me a folder via WeTransfer. Mostly jpg pictures, I think taken by mobile. LI’ve uploaded them all in the WordPress backend. A few days later I’ve tried your plugin and started a bulk conversion. Then I had the problem. I’ve also deleted all webp images and set the option “save metadata in exif…”. This do not solve the problem.

Thank you for your answer @florih,

I found the source of the problem and made the appropriate changes to the plugin code. The plugin ignored the Orientation value in the EXIF data. I added support for this value. I will add them in the next plugin update.

You can download the beta directly from this URL:
    https://mattplugins.com/files/webp-converter-for-media.5.7.2-beta0.zip

Please start converting all images now, be sure to check “Force the conversion of all images again”. Did this solve the problem?
