There is some confusion here about what BBQ protects against. As explained in the documentation, BBQ protects against malicious URL requests. Protecting against such requests is important to keep people from accessing your site, database, etc., and doing real damage to the site itself. There are many more benefits of protecting against bad queries, but that’s the basic idea.

What you are talking about is something entirely different. Consider this analogy. BBQ protects your home against people driving by and throwing rocks, breaking windows, checking the doors, and trying to gain access to steal or worse. What you are talking about, when someone “clones” your site, is like someone driving by your home, taking some photos, and then using the photos to build a copy of your house somewhere else.

So likewise on the Web, anyone can copy your content and files and use them to “clone” your site. There are steps you can take to discourage people from doing it, but ultimately if a site is public there is no way to stop it completely. Not with any plugin.

    Thanks for the answer Jeff

I am send a email to the hosting company with cloned website and delete the content for the account

I understand what he says and I’m really using BBQ practically since I started this website, and so far had no problems for now

But I also think that cloning a website requires thousands of calls files (my website has 5 gigabytes of images and was cloned very fast), and I think maybe there is some way to block a hundreds of simultaneous calls/files requests

I understand also be online always carries risks

Thank you very much for Rapid support

“I think maybe there is some way to block a hundreds of simultaneous calls/files requests”

Sure maybe. But my point is that, by virtue of the files/content being public, anyone can copy them and do whatever they want. If you install a plugin that throttles access, that might slow the process down a little bit, but ultimately anyone can still just copy/paste or do whatever to get all of your content. Just the way the Web works, my friend.
