someone help me regarding PHPMailer plugin

  • Hi all,

    I have my site up and running under wordpress(https://whoiam55.at.preempted.net). My server didn’t allow me to user sendmail. So I installed PHPMailer plugin and activated it. after filling proper settings on option page. I decided to try it. I just registered a new user and it said password is mailed to you. but nothing received. then I try checking “lost your password” option. and just after I press retrive password. it said “The e-mail could not be sent.
    Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function…” why ? I’m not using mail() function, I’m using PHPMailser function. I hope someone will shed some light on why it is looking for mail() function.

    Ok, I finally fixed it. for those getting same error. You must set proper values in ” Use hardcoded from values?
    Hardcoded From e-mail:
    Hardcoded From name: ” fields.
