Someone is using my email address as THEIR wordpress admin email …. HELP!!!

Try working through their host, there should be a Technical contact.

Set up your email options to put all the email from that address into a separate folder so at least you don’t have to sort the junk.

Actually a few things you can do. Firstly, get your e-mail domain a SPF record for only your server and mail server and nothing else. Then also report the IP address of the sender as spam and high chances are, the website will disappear.

Now, a website in India however you may have problems with. Can you share with us the website that is doing this ?

Thanks for your replies… I have had no luck thru their domain host.

I don’t want to simply set up spam filters because I fully intend on using this email address for my business when it is fully set-up.

The offending wordpress blog is:

Unfortunately, I believe they are using a fake “American Name”, they don’t respond to emails, they have a support ticket system that they also do not respond to.

They give you an address for refunds: [email protected] and then ask you to mail them your complaint for refund to:

I spoke to GoDaddy support a moment ago and they suggest marking each email that comes in from their wordpress blog as spam and that should help rectify the problem…. depending on their email set-up and IP address.

Get the full headers from the email. You should be able to find the IP address of the site and, with most mail server apps, block that.

Even though they have private registration installed, you can still reach them by email through the whois. You’ll see something like this:

Private, Registration
[email protected]

Email that address and it will forward to the webmaster.
