    I received the following email:
Someone has requested to reset the password for the following account:
    Site name:
    Username: xxxxxxxx
If this was a mistake, you can ignore this email and nothing will happen.
To reset your password, go to this address:
    https://fryskseniorenorkest.nl/wp-login.php?action=rp&xxxxxxxxxxxxx
This password reset request comes from the IP address xxxxxxxxxxxxx. This IP address is located in China.

What can I do so that my wp-admin account is not visible to others?

thanks in advance for your thoughts.

    1. I removed the key…If your post had not been caught by our spam filters, you were offering PUBLICLY a way to change YOUR password!
    2. “you can ignore this email and nothing will happen” And nothing will.
    3. Bots are out there than hit password reset links, logins, etc. They are not getting through, just seeing if your door is locked.
    4. There are plugins that will hide “wp-admin” but, IMHO, they are not necessary as long as you practice good internet hygiene.

Just to add to what Steven said, if you’re concerned, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures and start backing up your site.

But, again, you can safely ignore the email. In order to get into your account that way, they would also need access to your email, which would definitely be a much bigger problem.
