Seems this plug in is a basket case.

I don’t have the stomach to spend the several hours on my 7 wordpress sites with this pathetic non intuitive plug
Any recommendations? Of just delete and forget.

That’s not necessary and if you have a problem with that plugin then you can raise a support topic.
