I’ve upgraded today to the latest WordPress version, and I’ve then noticed that the related posts no longer showed anywhere on my site. I went to the plugin settings, and everything was back to default, like before setting it up. I’ve now reset everything the way I wanted, however, I can no longer get the thumbnails to look the way I had them before, although I really tinkered with the settings for quite some time.

Ajay, any chance of giving me a quick help with this?

This is how I had the thumbnails before:

and this is how I have them now.

I can’t get that nice slick layout with the white surrounding each book cover anymore. Any idea how can I fix this, please?

It looks like for some reason the wrong thumbnails are being used. One thing I can think of is when you upgraded the plugin – the old settings might still be in the database in case you didn’t delete them (you have to do it manually)

You can try to “Reset” the plugin settings which should try to pull the old settings and bring them into the new interface. Make a note of the settings you enabled for them.

Another thing could be the thumbnail size might have previously been set to crop automatically and a different size that what you’re using currently so the plugin isn’t fetching the correct sizes. You can also use a plugin like OTF Regenerate Thumbnails to automatically create thumbnails in case they are missing.

Hi Ajay, I found the solution finally after literally trying everything else. There was a small setting that I changed to “Use CSS to set width and height.” Before I had it on Use HTML. I only realized that option was wrongly selected after I checked out a cached version of a post and saw the page source. There, instead of ‘width’ that I was getting after the update, I had “max-width.” (and also saw the correct size I had used before. I saw the CSS option mentioning “max-width’ as well, and I selected that while also adding the new size. Then it worked.

Thanks for trying to help, you’re amazingly fast in replying.

Thank you for confirming that! Helpful for others as well in case they see this issue.

Do consider a review of the plugin as well.
