When I go from a calendar listing of events, to see the details of a single event, the tribe “loading” gif spins forever. Also, this is loading just part of the single-event.php, and on a naked page — that is not wrapped with my theme at all!

The site is live and I’ve had to throw a different theme up to get this resolved immediately, but I would love to know what caused the issue.

Actually I went back to the yoo master2 theme, and just did an overwrite of list/single-event.php to pull the event details into the list view.

This is a bandaid — I really want it the way it worked last week with separate pages for each event.

    Site is: https://thegatheringconcerts.com/events.

Try https://thegatheringconcerts.com/event/old-saybrook-connecticut/ to see the bizarre behavior of the link to an individual event.

This occurs in all browsers I tested, and goes away with a different theme, but there was too much customized functionality in place for the Musicians listings to abandon the theme.

    Hey barback,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Unfortunately I’m not able to see the issues you’re describing (I’m guessing due to patch you describe in the previous thread) when visiting your site.

If you had previous customizations to the template that seem to be causing the issue, the best bet is to do what you’ve described by copying in the latest templates and adding back the customizations that you did make.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to really provide too much support for these types of issues in our free forums here. You can reach out on our PRO forums and we’d be happy to take a look at the specific code there, however we wouldn’t be able to guarantee a solution for compatibility with other customizations.

    Thanks!

I had forgotten an addition to the functions.php file: code provided in your support to allow changing the page title from. Upcoming Events to Upcoming Concerts. That code referenced your maps and photo views, but I wasn’t running the pro calendar so it caused an error.

I deleted those conditions and all is well.

    Thanks.

You might want to modify the post where that snippet was offered so that others won’t have my experience. . I spent many hours troubleshooting this.

Was that code you found here, or across on our PRO forums? Could you share a link? We’ll be happy to consider updating it ??

    The code snippet was here:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/altering-or-removing-headings-on-calendar-views/

The only change I would recommend would be to make the is map or is photo section optional — to be used only with the pro version of your plugin

    Thanks!

Great point: we’ll make a change there ??
