• Hello,
I use this plugin since about two years. On two sites. Few days ago (probably with WP 3.5 upgrade) it stopped to work properly. Last months I didn’t change anything. I only do all requested upgrades. And now I have FB fanbox in its default (blue) design. Maybe some attributes are still coming from the plugin, but colors are gone and the border is back… Is there any way to make it working again? Or should I change something at my site?

    Regards

  • I have the same problem. Maybe something changed in facebook.

Same problem. I don’t succeed in changing the css. If changing something never happens. Something to do?
    Using WP 3.5.1

There is definitely a problem and unfortunately this plugin is not working for me anymore (using wordpress 3.5 & 3.5.1).
I think the problem might be related to facebook update.

I have an using a different plugin –> https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/facebook-fan-box-cache/ that does the same kind of thing and we’re seeing similar issues.

    Looks like Facebook changed something!

I’ve grown to HATE Facebook like/fan boxes due to this. We don’t use them anymore because of how frequently Facebook changes their CSS classes/IDs for these feeds. I’m constantly having to fix customizations I’ve made. All newer sites we build, I use an RSS feed to bring in Facebook content. It doesn’t rely on Facebook’s classes/IDs to customize since it’s only RSS. There are no images but it’s a lot more future proof.

But, for the sites where we did use the old Facebook likebox, what options do we have now? Does the plugin author just need to update the plugin? It sounds as though there are other plugins that currently have the same problem.

Looks like it’s fixed today. Facebook must have fixed it because I haven’t updated anything on any of our sites. What a pain in the ass Facebook is.
