@anotheropus Your problem seems different. Could you please start your own thread, as per the Forum Welcome?
https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/jetpack#postformThank you!
@everybody else: I made some changes to your Jetpack settings. Could you try to disconnect and reconnect to WordPress.com again?
@katydidcards You will indeed need to disconnect first, like so:
- Go the Jetpack menu in your dashboard
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page
- Click on “Disconnect from WordPress.com”.
Once you’ve done so you’ll be able to reconnect to WordPress.com by clicking on the connect button at the top of the page.
@glannst Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?
If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form:
https://jetpack.me/contact-support/Hi Jeremy,
The error message is still there sadly. Also my Shareaholic sharing buttons and floating share bar have been gibbled. Not sure if it’s related to the changes to Jetpack’s settings or not, but the coincidental timing is worth commenting on.
hello, i had made a post and directed here. The post was long.
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/permalink-settings-issues?replies=3
Would like to add a few things. Again long. I had disconnected jetpack. There was something I wanted to try switched. my retrofitted theme to twenty twelve. Totally screwed up my setup with pagebuilder that can be redone. Reinstalled JP. Still same issue. With my remarkable ability to screw things up may dood again.
Iremember when the jetpack not linking with recent posts on dot.com.om domain. JP worked right on all else. I did do what the error suggested then again my name is murthy and a law stays with me.
I better shut up before i get even more confused as you may end up being.
@mugwumpr Thanks for giving it a try.
At this point, I’m afraid I can only recommend that you activate the following small plugin to hide the notice window:
https://i.wpne.ws/ao0lYou can then remove the plugin once Jetpack 3.5.1 is released.
Also my Shareaholic sharing buttons and floating share bar have been gibbled
It might be worth talking to the Shareaholic team about that. The Jetpack issue is limited to your dashboard, so it wouldn’t have an effect on the styling of buttons on the frontend.
@glannst I’ve made some changes to your Jetpack settings. Could you try to disconnect Jetpack from WordPress.com, and then reconnect, as I mentioned above?
If that doesn’t help, could you install the plugin I linked to above until Jetpack 3.5.1 is released?
Thanks!
@jeremy We have disconnected and connected various times. The error refuses to go away. The site is: https://www.faisalkhan.com/
@rababkhan I’ve made some changes to your Jetpack settings. Could you give it another try?
Thanks!
It worked! Thank you so much. My WP dashboard is beautiful again. ??
@jeremy Herve I wanted to thank Support for helping over the last several days. They fixed the many issues related to my site and Jetpack!
I have only a few remaining questions…
1. During the transfer to a self hosted site, it seems the blog followers did not transfer, is there a way to recover those?
2. I followed instructions for transferring email followers via Jetpack, it would appear those did not get transferred either. Again, is there away to recover those?
I am sure these two issues are related to the problems we had before. Also, I am still unable to publicize, will this be fixed with the update?
Hi, I am having a similar problem. I get the same error in my Permalinks menu.
“Something has gotten mixed up!
Your siteurl option is set up as https://vagabondbeat.com, but your WordPress.com connection lists it as 0!
Your home option is set up as https://vagabondbeat.com, but your WordPress.com connection lists it as 1!”Desconnecting and reconnecting to WordPress.com didn’t help. Deleting and reinstalling and reactivating and reauthorizing Jetpack didn’t help.
When I go to my home page vagabondbeat.com, the page displays incorrectly as a very old version. But if I go to vagabondbeat.com/0/, it displays correctly.
On the other hand, on my iPhone and iPod the site works fine whether in mobile mode or desktop mode. So not sure what is going on.
I do appreciated all suggestions made. Find myself overwhelmed at the moment. Only in the sense time it will take to transfer posts from one blog to my domain site. I dont mind that so much. Kind of to be sure of couple things I would like to be able to do with. self hosted site. I would like some plugins that will accomplish a few things. Sorry, cant say something in few words.
Recent posts to also show up on my myweb-municipality.com to the blog. Thinking many ways to branch out and take odd in many directions.
I use pagebuilder and no way in hell getting rid of that.
Able to have my followers from my wordpress, com blog to show on my own domain. From past to present and on. With recent posts also. And able to press follow button other than the subscribe by email.Guess that’s not big deal as long it they notified of new posts. There is a like button. Suppose saying what can done on blog can do with domain without a lot of criss-crossing. I can do on my blog can also do with my domain posts and so on. Or use my self domain for everything. Maybe keep the one blog. Christ, can spend a lifetime on so much. Perhaps way off on my thinking.
“Let in insert here that I am intellectually challenged on blogs and regular domains setup. Takes a good learning curve, I have come to understand few things what may be done. also looking like a village idiot Also tad tired of searching plugins which leaves good options yet not able to do what I think. Itall will do what accomplish. The sheer volume of plugins makes much searching. Leading to fatigue even with search.”
Kudos Mr.Jeremy Herve and others making something great with JP. And the work put in. I know some issues are being worked on and have confidence. Much more brain power than I. ??
I got the same issue here:
Your Jetpack has a glitch. Something went wrong that’s never supposed to happen. Guess you’re just lucky: jetpack_id
Try connecting again.Error Details: Jetpack ID is empty. Do not publicly post this error message!
My blog: colatte.com
Please help,
many thanks.
I am curious, any themes it seems to correctly on or just certain ones. I am using retro-fitted,. of all i like it best using page builder. Couples others may able to use tke ungodly amount of tiome to look aceptible with all i have done.
