• First of all, great product. Have been using WF for years now.
    But…. BUT…
    Just found out that back-up on my site is not running, and when searching for new plugins, there were no results.
    I could not uninstall or install plugins without these errors “deletion failed: -1” or “update failed: -1”
    So, I had to disable all plugins about 10 of them and templates too. Then enable/disable plugin by plugin, to find out that Wordfence security Version 7.4.6 is “the issue”.
    Once WF was disabled, my backups were up, plugin search is quicker and no errors when updating/installing or deleting plugins.

  • Thanks for your thoughts on the Wordfence plugin.

    Have you reached out in Premium support or Wordfence support in the www.ads-software.com forums?

    The backup problem can probably be fixed by running a job while the firewall is in learning mode.

    The other problem seems like it could be any number of things from permissions (files not owned by the php process owner) to a managed hosting issue of some kind. Note : I searched for this in case you want to look further.
