    I keep on having the following error message when I tried to update zh-tw 3.9.1 version and install some plugins (Note: I have no problem updating the WordPress version 3.9.1 though.):

    “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.”

    Would appreciate it if somebody could help to advise how I could get it right and resolved. Thanks.

  • Have you tried to ftp the plugins to the plugin directory at your host?

    I just did a Twitter test, uploaded a plugin and it went ok. Only add plugins by upload – > browse -> zip format.

    I am happy you got the 3.9.1 ok mine won’t update auto.

    Thank you very much for your response. I am a starter in WP and now just working on my computer as localhost. (I intended to upload the whole site to the host till it’s done.) Yea, the error might be caused because of this. But then it happened that I got it done with WP 3.9.1 at the localhost! I have installed at the localhost

    Apache Web Server Version 2.2.8
    PHP Script Language Version 5.2.6
    MySQL Database Version 5.0.51b
    phpMyAdmin Database Manager Version 2.10.3

    Any further advice? Appreciated.
