Something seems wrong with Audio Block

    We use audio block to link to podcasts from an external host (Libsyn), this ha s been the process since audio block had been introduced with all working correctly. Since the last update however, something has been off and the player is being greyed out.

    Through some messing around I found that changing the filename and then updating the URL would cause the player to work as intended again but this was a short fix, only lasting an hour or two. I then went to another site that I’m using to create a new version of this one thinking the problem might be with WP being outdated but that had the same issue.

    Now it seems the issue isn’t just happening to the podcasts I’m publishing now but it’s started crawling back and effecting older posts too – going back six weeks so far.

    I’m completely out of ideas at this point.

  • Your player looks and works fine for me.

    If you’ve done the described “hack” to get it work, kindly respond when the problem re-occurs so we can take a look.

    Hi George,

    I used the Libsyn embed player rather than use the Audio Block as a workaround this morning. However, I’d like to switch back to the stock player as there’s more than 500 episodes I’m potentially going to have to update.

    I’ve re-added WP Audio Block under the the Libsyn player so you can see.

    Oh my God! It’s my browser isn’t it? I’ve been trying to fix this for two weeks and a flippin’ browser plugin is the problem.

    I’m sorry to have wasted your time but thank you for looking at this.
