    Hi there,

I have an error message when people try and sign up to my buddypress community for the ‘annual’ membership level. I do not have any problems with people signing up for the ‘monthly’ membership level. The error message is:

Something went wrong creating plan with PayPal; missing PROFILESTATUS.

Does anyone know why this happens? I see there is a thread here (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/missing-profilestatus/) that reports the same problem, but it says it is resolved but doesn’t give details how.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

    Update:

Actually I have now found out that an error message happens for all membership levels unless a discount code is applied that gives the first billing cycle free. This means the error only occurs if an actual payment is trying to be made. This narrows down where to look for the problem, but I still haven’t had any luck in finding it!

    Any help appreciated!!

    Hi there!

Have you had any luck with this issue?
I’ve been stuck on this for days.

Hello! Just wanted to followup here and ask if there was any solution to this?

    Thank you!

Has anyone found a solution to this issue?

This seems to be posted to the incorrect forum as this is the BuddyPress Integration.

However,I recommend in working through these following steps:

    1. Check your level billing settings, does it happen for recurring or one-time payments? If it’s recurring, it might possibly be an issue with the frequency (i.e. Daily subscriptions as well as the amounts. Try with various billing settings).

    2. Test this with PayPal Express (if you aren’t already trying this).

    3. Test this in staging mode, please note that staging requires different credentials than your live credentials. Does this work, if so, there’s an issue with your live account.

    4. Check your PayPal API credentials to ensure they’re correct.

If you still face issues, I recommend posting to the core plugin support page – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/paid-memberships-pro/

I hope this helps anyone figure this out.
