    Hi Guy,

The error is a result of not being able to communicate with the W3C Validator service. This could be because your site may not have been publicly accessible to W3C or your server does not allow outside communication via wp_remote_get().

Performing an initial test on a few of your pages shows that communication is working properly, so I’m leaning toward your server settings being the culprit.

I’m going to make a note to incorporate a debugging feature in the next release to track down possible causes to this issue.

Bringing up this tpoic again. It worked for me, tried it some weeks ago successfully. Since today I’m also getting the error “Something Went Wrong”. I realized that the W3 Validator () has a new layout and is displaying new features for the result page when validating an HTML5 page. Might it be linked to that?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi Allan,

I there a fix to this? I’m really excited about this plugin but I get nothing but “something went wrong” I know I have coding issues that are not W3C Compliant (thanks to nibbler.silktide.com) and I was hoping your plugin would help me.

    Please help!

    Many thanks ??

HI Im getting a “something went wrong” error. Any ideas how to fix this? WC3 validator worked fine when I installed in earlier this year, and suddenly stopped working. WordPress versions all up to date etc
Thanks for your help in advance!

    Hi Everyone,

There is a possibility that W3C may be blocking you due to too many requests. I’ll have to do a little testing to verify.
