I tried to use the HMBKP_EMAIL constant but any email was sent when a backup runs.
It isnt a server error because when I set an email in the backup preferences, it receives the message with the link (and the file attached).

what is expected when we set in the wp-config.php the define( 'HMBKP_EMAIL', '[email protected]' )? An email like when we set it in the backup preferences? Or only a message with error logs?

    thanks!

Yep looks like you are setting it correctly.

Defining an email will have the same effect as adding it through the admin.

It’s strange, because I tested this constant in different hosts providers, and nothing occurs..

    Cheers

    Hello Tom,

sorry posting in this old thread, but since I made this observation, I never got to received the email in my address indicated in this constant. I just receive the emails if I fill up the destination field, doing it manually in the scheduled backup settings.

Like said above, It’s strange, I tested this constant in different hosts providers, and nothing occurs..

    Hey Gustao,

Your right, there is a bug which is meaning emails are only sent if you have filled out the email through settings, I will fix this in the next version.

    Thanks for the heads up.
