    Hello people!

This is the second time that I update this plugin and immediately after all the sites that I maintain start to get hundreds of login attempts. The main site got 293 login attempts in two and a half days.

It looks like the renamed page not only became public but got a lot of “publicity”, kind of “hey people, a new login page here, enjoy!”

As soon as I give a new name to the page the login attempts stop. So, the renaming is working, but there is a strange “leak” when the plugin is updated.

Sure, I could change the login page at every update. In two of the sites I can do it easily, as they have only three users. But I maintain another site that has over 200 users. There is no way that I can ask everyone to remember a new page many times a year, it would descend into chaos very quickly. And anyway, a renamed login page that becomes quite public at each update defeats the very purpose of the renaming.

    Can you help me?

    best regards

    Hi @arutha176

It is very strange issue. On update of the plugin generally the all in one security plugin files gets updated and if required new tables are created.

It seems something triggering on plugin update, but it is not part of the AIOS plugin I can assure. Let me try check though in more detail and get back to you.

    Regards

    Hi hjogiupdraftplus!

Yes, it is very strange. I hope you can discover the problem and help me, even if it is directing me to the culprit (lol).

An update: I changed the name of the login page and looks like it stopped, as before. Buuuut, I have the same problem in other site than I maintain (the 200 users site…), I changed the name of the login page and the problem persists. I changed it at about 16pm (local time), and four hours late there were around 25 failed login attempts.

    This site is: https://mundoinvisivel.org/

It just occurred to me that renaming the page will not help you any in checking the problem. Sorry! But this second site has the problem and I promise not to change anything more in it till you tell me that it is ok to do so!

    Best regards!
