Sometime comments won't work

    Hello there,

    A friend and I launched a blog to promote startups in france. So we went for a wordpress instal and it works great for us except with some post where commenting system seems to be broken, for exemple, if you go to : https://www.jaimelesstartups.fr/uponjob/
    then add a comment and press ‘envoyé’,
    you’ll be redirected to a blank page with the url : https://www.jaimelesstartups.fr/wp-comments-post.php
    and the comment never showed up !

    Fact is I don’t understand is it works fine for other posts…
    So if you have an idea on how to fix this, it would be really appreciated !

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Esmi,
    I still had the problem but I fixed it by doing this :

    Open up your WordPress theme folder and rename comments.php to comments.bak.php.
    Copy (don’t move) the comments.php file from the \wp-content\themes\default folder to *your* theme folder
    Clear your browser cache.
    If you are using any sort of caching Plug-In, make sure to clear that cache as well
    Load WordPress and try making a comment
