Sometimes it works – sometimes it doesn’t

  • “Send images to RSS” has been working for me for a while. I love it.

    Yesterday, it started acting up. I get the following error:
    Warning: sprintf(): Too few arguments in /home/blackj90/public_html/blackjackreview.com/wp/wp-content/plugins/send-images-rss/includes/class-sendimagesrss-feed-fixer.php on line 330

    I’ve played around with the full text versus summaries, etc but I have currently had no luck. If you visit my page, you will notice that some of the feed items have an image and others don’t. They should “all” have images.

    I am using theme TwentyFourteen and have the latest up-to-date WordPress.

    Reading settings are Syndication feeds = 20 and it is set to summaries.

    My feeds are apparently NOT getting an image.

    Any ideas?

    I’m sorry you are having issues with the plugin.

    I’ve compared the link you shared with your RSS feed and your feed looks correct to me–showing just the summary of each post, and with the featured image displayed as a left aligned thumbnail. I do only see three featured images in the feed, but looking at the main blog URL you shared, I see only the same three featured images there as well. If a featured image is not set, the plugin will look for images which are attached to (uploaded to) the post to use as a fallback, but if there isn’t one, then no image will be added to the feed.

    I do believe you have found a bug in the full feed processor which affects “external” images (not uploaded to WordPress–in the side bets post) displayed with a caption, and I will be pushing a fix for that. Until 3.3.2 of this plugin is released, in your case I would recommend keeping your feed set to display summaries only. I apologize for this error.

    I just got my feed page working with all images.

    Your plugin appears to like it when I set “Full Text” under the Reading Settings.

    Then under your plugin settings I have:
    Process Both Feeds – checked
    Everything else is unchecked
