Sorry, but don't install this

  • Another example of some WordPress developers’ totally unethical business practices.

    Offer the plugin for free. Get tens of thousands of users. Then make the free plugin almost totally useless and require the tens of thousands of people who’re already relying on the security features to pay to continue to get the same features they already had.

    First off, this review should be obviously removed, since it’s not about Rublon the plugin.

    The Rublon for WordPress plugin is just a bridge between your WordPress website and the Rublon API, which is being used in many different ecosystems, not only WordPress. We have been offering a broad access to the Rublon API for free for a long time with free support in exchange for feedback that helped us to improve the product. It is normal that services like Rublon cost A LOT of money to build and maintain and this is why Rublon for WordPress requires paid access to the Rublon API if you’re running a business on WordPress. We have taken a look at our stats and the vast majority of websites are not affected by this API limitation since they have only 1 user (the admin).

    If you’re not satisfied with Rublon, go ahead and find an alternative —?I can only assure you that you won’t. We are the best 2FA solution on the market and our prices are very very competitive compared to different solutions. Security has to cost money because it has to be maintained every day by professionals.

    Rublon Account Security for WordPress is still available for free for personal use. Personal use means for us that you have only 1 administrator account on your website that you need to protect. Thus Rublon has been, is and always will be available for free. Business use obviously requires a paid license in order to access our API.
