• I am a new user to WordPress and just installed my first blog page the other day. Everything has been working fine until yesterday. I’m not sure when the problem started, but I think I was fooling around with the settings (possibly permalinks). I don’t remember what I changed if anything, but now when I submit a comment (to test my page) the post and comments sections disappear and I get this sentence in there places, “Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.” Does anybody have any idea what I could have changed in my settings or anywhere else that could have started this problem. My blog page is useless at this point.

I should probably add to this these two things which might give someone a clue. It’s this: If I leave and return to the blog page the comment previously posted is there even though I received the message, “Sorry, no posts matched your criteria”. Also, I did install and activate the back-up system yesterday before this problem started.

I have found the changes I made that caused this problem. I had changed the permalinks to a custom setting. When I changed it back to the default setting the issue was resolved. Now I have to figure out how to change the permalinks to a custom setting without causing this problem.
