Sorry, that file cannot be edited

  • Running win 2k and wp 2.9.1 on local xampp 1.7.2.

    Admin panel/appearance/editor/styles/ and try to edit sample.css and get this

    Sorry, that file cannot be edited

    Lots of info out there about changing permissions on remote server that might fix this.

    It should not be an issue on local machine!

    What’s wrong here???

    Why not? You are running a server like any other. And you’ve got permissions problems. Change permissions according to that information you found and you’ll be fine.
