    When linking directly to files from other pages, the encrypted link breaks once the user logs out, and displays:
    Sorry. The download could not be verified.

    Is this because of the encryption? Is there a way to encrypt file paths and still link directly to the files from other pages?

    No. Encrypted links include information about the user session, user id, etc. They are for one-session-only use.
