    Hi

    First of all, thank you for this amazing plugin. It motivated me to go back to using Georiot (I had stopped because I was lazy to change all links to georiot links).

    When I enter the API Key and secret and click save, the following message appears:

    Sorry, there was a problem connecting to the GeoRiot API.

    I tried deactivating all plugins, but nothing changes.

    Here is the website where I am having the problem:

    Thanks for the kind words, and glad to hear it brought you back! ??

    Very sorry to hear about the API issues though, but we’ll get you back up and running right away. The API can sometimes timeout if it’s unable to access our server within a specific time – can you tell me if it takes a minute before giving you the “connection” error, or does it happen right away?

    You could also try recreating, or adding a new API key as well, then using that key instead. To do so, in your GeoRiot dashboard, navigate to the Account page, then click on the + sign next to “Your API keys.”

    If anyone else experiences the same issue, it’s due to our plugin trying to contact our server over HTTP instead of over HTTPS. If your website is set to force SSL, you may see a similar issue.

    We are fixing the problem with our plugin so that all traffic is sent over HTTPS, and will have an update shortly. If you’re on version 1.0.4 of the Amazon Link Engine, please upgrade to the latest version at your convenience.
