Trying to download an audio file. wav file 53.27 MB

Getting message “Sorry this file type is not permitted for security reasons.”

It’s an audio file of my voice that I recorded onto my laptop. Any solutions out there?
Also I am not savvy with computer language so if you could break it down so I may understand, I’d appreciate it.

.wav files are large — you might consider converting it to an .mp3 file.

Or, you could use this plugin to permit uploading of .wav files: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-add-mime-types/

Tried converting to mp3 after downloading Lame. Still won’t work. Same message “Sorry…”
Uploaded plugin but still didn’t work.

Any other suggestions?
