    Hello,

I keep getting this error whenever I try to access Jetpack’s settings or dashboard in WP Admin:

Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.

I think the issue stems from that the Jetpack account associated with this site is not valid. I accidentally used a different account than my normal account, but I didn’t create that account before the link expired. Now, it just gives me the error.

How can I deactivate my associated website? The dashboard does not work and the new account I created also doesn’t show the site.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I managed to fix the issue, so I will put what I did here in case anyone else needs to know:

    • On my WordPress.com user page, I found an error that Jetpack couldn’t speak to my site because Rest API was disabled. I had turned Rest API off. So, I turned it back on.
    • As I guessed, my site was connected to another account. I was able to complete the sign-up after turning Rest API back on.
    • I then disconnected it from my WordPress.com user account.
    • (I probably didn’t need to do this, but) I deactivated Jetpack and then reactivated it again.
    • When I went back in, I was able to sign up with the correct account.
    • I changed the settings that I wanted.
    • I then turned Rest API back off.

    Hi @miheui

Thanks for sharing how you fixed this for others that may run into the issue. We appreciate it.

I will note that you may encounter issues with Jetpack if you leave the REST API turned off. If you face issues in the future, you will want to start with re-enabling the REST API.
