Trying to use ver 1.5.4 of Transient Cleaner on my WP 4.9 dev site, but I keep getting this error message. I’ve tried logging in as the admin account as well as my id which is also an administrator but it made no difference. I read through the old but now closed thread on this same issue but saw no resolution.

Do you have any new ideas?

Also, I’m using the Settings option right next to Deactivate. In the docs you refer to Administrtation -> Tools -> Transients, but I don’t see that anywhere, am I missing something is are the docs in need of an update?

    Thanks for your help.

  • Me too on every production site the plugin is installed on. I get it when trying to save options right after install and when trying to access from the tools menu. This is only happening after the change to the newest version. The old version works fine. I just did an option change on the old version and it worked fine. No issues.
I am running ssl on all my production and test sites. Could that have something to do with this issue

Ok, yeah, I can guess what this is – leave it with me and I’ll get a fix pushed out.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

Do you want to try version 1.5.6 and let me know if it’s now okay?

BTW…I rolled back to Version 1.5.3 and no more issues. I added your plugin to block automatic updates.

Which version did you roll back from? 1.5.6 should resolve any issues you had.

    Hey.

I do also have the same problem when i try to update my plugins.
I can not find the add new plugins in plugin panel and also i can not find editor in appearance panel.

i am using the bluehost hosting not the wordpress.com hosted site.

I’m sorry, I don’t understand what you mean.

I can not find the add new plugins in plugin panel and also i can not find editor in appearance panel.

I’m not sure what the relevance of these for this plugin are?
