We also do not see voting buttons finger up/finger down. But it is probably also due to permissions?

Additional info: We have setting “Show boards to: Everyone” and o nn the page where we put the shortcode with the boards we do not see any of the entered idea. Visited as anonymous visitor and also like Admin of the wrodpress – same situation.

    Hi @robkecz,

Have you put the shortcode on a page which is public to everyone. Also ensure “Guest Votes/Ideas” is set to yes. Thanks,

    Hi @robkecz,

I am not sure. I can’t repeat this on my end. If you purchase the pro version I can ensure the plugin works ok on your specific site :)On these forums I can’t ask for login details. Thanks,

Yup. Same problem here. I’m on a subdomain of multisite install. Only one subdomain enabled. Can see the idea title, but no ideas on the page.

And while I can totally understand you want someone to buy the plugin in advance of providing support, it also is a catch-22 because no one wants to buy perceptibly buggy code, either. If one or two people are experiencing the issue, then probably there are many more just not bothering to comment.

If you want to continue the discussion, I’m happy to work with you independent of these forums for obvious security reasons.

    Hi @mpivon,

If the pro version of the plugin doesn’t work you will be offered a full refund so there’s no catch 22. It’s again the www.ads-software.com forum rules to ask for login details – I know this because I have gotten in trouble with this in the past. I also need a way to differentiate my support offerings for free vs pro users.

Trying the best I can to help under this situation, are you able to test the plugin on a non-multisite install? Because the plugin hasn’t been tested with multisite yet? Can you upload a screenshot or provide a link to the site so I can see what’s going on. Thanks,

Fair enough. Understand completely. Have not tried in non-MU environment, but will, and see if the issue is resolved. Also have a bunch of plugins around roles and whatnot so there could be a conflict.

Think I found it. I submitted an idea, and approved it – just like a regular post.
However, it was not associated with a Board.

To solve it: Gotta create a board, first, then submit an idea. Then the custom post type gets associated with the board, and it can be published. At least, I think that’s the issue.

Yes, the first step is always to create a board. Thanks,

    .

I am having this exact same issue. Here’s what I’ve tried so far.

    1. Created board and published page.
    2. While logged in as admin, submitted an idea.
    3. Approved idea.
    4. Got “Sorry you do not have permission to view this idea” when I try and view idea detail of approved idea.
    5. Looked at board page, and no ideas are showing at all. Not even when filter by all statuses.
    6. Noticed that the idea was not automatically associated with a board (despite the fact I submitted it FROM the board page.) Updated that idea via the admin and assigned it to the board.
    7. Still does not show on board.
    8. Tried to submit idea from a user account.
    9. Idea DOES get automatically associated with board when submitted from user account.
    10. However, idea still does not show in detail view (same permissions error) or on the board view.
    11. Submit as guest is ON.
    12. Show board to “everyone” is set.

Any other ideas on what I can check to fix this problem?

Update. I disabled all plugins and used a default theme and the problem persists.

Update #2: I attempted to delete the plugin and all the ideas, so I could start from scratch and see if somehow #2-6 above somehow created the problem. But my data persists even after deleting and reinstalling the plugin, so I am unable to test and see if I can sidestep the problem by NOT submitting an idea from the admin account.

    Hi @kboroski,

It sounds like it could be a caching issue. Ensure all caching is off, both on your site and any server side caching like Cloudflare. Also try saving your WordPress permalink settings. Thanks,
