  • I was going to ask the exact same question. This must be a bug, because it’s weird if you select “sort by most recent’, that instead it shows the oldest products first…

    There is no desc/asc option, which would be highly recommended.

    Any clue how to resolve this in the code?

    Hello yerooon,

    The sort by ‘Most Recent’ is the WooCommerce sort – it is not made by WooCommerce Product Sort and Display. This plugin adds 2 new sort filters

    ‘On Sale’ and ‘Featured’

    You can verify this for yourself by turning OFF sort and display on the plugins admin panel (or deactivating it) – you will see that the sort by ‘most recent’ is a sort filter from the WooCommerce plugin and it will still show the same.

    If that is the case you should try activating a Default WordPress theme in the Customizer and seeing if the ‘Sort by Recent’ show different. If it does it is an issue with your theme. If not you could have another plugin that is causing that.
