Sort by attribute (size)

  • Is there any way to use product Attributes to sort by? (like size or color). Or could this be done through custom meta sorting somehow?

    No, actually that’s not possible. But that’s a great idea.
    We will add it on our to-do list for sure, but probably it will be available on premium version only

    Actually I’m kinda lost.

    Imagine the following scenario:
    – Product A
    — Color Red
    — Color Black

    – Product B
    — Color Red
    — Color Black

    How do you think the sorting by color would work on these two products?

    Well, more like this scenario. Sort by color – Color: Yellow, Color: Red:, Color: Black. So I guess you’d have to have sub-variations. But more specifically I would want to go by SIZE, but same idea – S, M, L, XL). That’s why I asked about meta, maybe products have to be tagged instead of looping through all the options.

    – Product A
    — Color Red
    — Color Black
    – Color Yellow

    – Product B
    — Color Red
    — Color Yellow

    – Product C
    — Color Black
    — Color Yellow

    Actually, I don’t know if it would be a confusing feature for users.
    Wouldn’t it be better in your case to use a filter plugin?

    So users could filter a specific color. Wouldn’t that work best?
