Sort by DESC into ultimate member directory

    Hi,
    My goal : sorting my directory members by DESC order on a specific meta_key with values 0,1,2,3,4,5. (i.e. get members with 5 value at top of list).

    I tried “Sort order by” with choice “other” into meta field and with the meta_key value, but it doesn’t work…

    Whatever I select into directory settings to sort by, it seems that there is no possibility to reverse the order (like DESC).

    (I also found the ultimatemember completeness add-on but it seems there is no sort by % of completeness. So…)

    Do you have any idea on how to do that,please ?

    Hi @geve2009,

    Unfortunately, it is not possible to sync directory members by DESC order in the current version of the plugin, we will see if we can add this option in the future updates.

    Argh ! Very bad news !
    It is an important feature for my website (www.intras.fr) because I have to classify my members. I would be very interested to get it, even in your premium version.

    And what about my question : “I tried “Sort order by” with choice “other” into meta field and with the meta_key value, but it doesn’t work…” ?

    I have created a meta key into wp_usermeta with a different value for each of my customers (from 1 to… 5) and I hadve modified the directory settings to get a “sort by” on this field, but the directory is not sorted at all…

    I also had a look to find some existing filter functions on the Web, but I did not find anything !

    Hello Ultimate Support,
    I have a suggestion for your ultimate member profile completeness :

    It is about this feature :

    Only show users in member directory who have completed their profile (you can set what % limit is applied)

    If you could modify it to generate a percentage value and to make profile list of users beeing sorted by this percentage value (in DESC mode ;-), surely I will buy your extension, because it will match exactly what I need.

    I am sure that other people will like to be able to sort their members depending on their profile completion. What do you think of that ?

    OK, I found the solution by myself, faster than the support (and cheaper) hé, hé, hé…

    If you want to sort your members directory by a notation (best members at first), just add a text field on their profile and give to each of them a note like A, B, C, D where A will be the best note and D the worst.

    Then modify the directory setting to sort by this field and… that’s all !

    Profiles with “A” notes will be displayed at top of the list and “D” at the end !
