Sort By & Display Time Ago Since Last Comment

  • Rather than display: Posted on (Date), I would rather my blog display: Last activity XX seconds/minutes/hours/days ago.

    In order to determine the last activity, it would look at the last date the post was updated along with the last date of an approved comment. And it would use the most current of those dates.

    If that was complicated enough, I would like to be able to sort posts on my main page by its last activity.

    So the main page would look similar to a forum, where it is sorted by the “freshest” of content based on which was posted or commented on most recent.

    Any ideas how to accomplish this?
