Sort by Popularity

    Hello and thank you for your great plugin.
    I’m wondering what “sort by popylarity” shows if there a no or the same sales per product.

    Does it sort them by name? Randomly? Or it count “product views”?

    It would be very helpful to me to know which products have a lot of views.

    Hi there,

    In the shop, when “Sort by Popularity” is selected but the products have no sales or the same number of sales, then they appear to sort by ID descending (so the most recent one that was added is listed first). They did not sort alphabetically, and I tried changing the “published date” on one product, but when selecting “Popularity”, they still seemed to sort based on the ID.

    It appears there is some discussion in the thread below about how to add custom code to make it sort products by number of views (which is not built-in):

    Thank you for your answer.

    The link provided doesn’t exactly give a solution and it is a bit complicated (I expected something like a ready snippet to copy paste it).

    Unfortunately, your proposal to pay for a customization isn’t affordable for me.
    (I have checked the prices…)
