Sort doesn’t work

Actually if you have one day as parent another child galleries inherit properties from the parent gallery. Please make sure that gallery which you check, I mean gallery where sorting do not work properly, setup as single gallery , but not child item.
Another way to check direct links to every of the gallery on page and compare view with sorting of the image in media manager and sorting mode which selected every gallery settings.
Another plausible reason of some strange behavior it’s could be clone gallery settings mode. If you select such option in some gallery, for example select some other option as source of the core gallery settings, then you could have different sorting mode then expected.
Please check this options in every gallery and let me know if it’s gonna help.

I created a new Gallery with the exact same pictures, i didnt change the settings and added the pictures and sort them correctly like i want them in the frontend, after that i checked it and had the same issue sort like the child gallery with the issue. So i take the same settings(without parent, everything manually) like the parent gallery and still had the sort issue.
I tried the same tactic with the other pictures, they worked. The only different from the galleries are the picture format. in the gallery with the issue we got 3 PNGs and all other are JPEG. In the gallery that works we got only JPEGS.

It’s not related with gallery images ordering, but with images resizing.

In this particular gallery you have few different sizes of the images with different proportions and when gallery build thumbnails grid it’s resize original images to build correct grid layout. But in this particular case result images have few pixels difference in images size as result gallery change ordering of this thumbnails to avoid extra spacing between gallery images.

Grid layout in our gallery have higher priority if we compare with images ordering.

To the next release we’ll include more advanced images resizing module to the gallery with few alternative configuration modes for the gallery images resizing.
