Sort Limit on Custom Post Type Not Working

  • Adding sort limit has no affect on custom post types. For example, I have:
    [nlposts title_only=false display_type=block blog_id=5 thumbnail=true thumbnail_url=thumb custom_post_type=arthritis category=arthritis-lifestyle excerpt_length=NULL auto_excerpt=true excerpt_length=30 sorting_limit=1 thumbnail_wh=300x150]

    Even though, sorting_limit=1, I see all custom post type articles. Any idea how I can limit custom post types sorting limit?
