Sort on hidden column

Is it possible to set the sort of one column to a hidden field in the shortcode? I tried the following in my template with no luck:echo do_shortcode('[wp_jdt id="course-listing" "aoColumnDefs":[{"iDataSort":1,"aTargets":[0]}]]');
