    Hi,
I’ve been using Feedzy v 3.2.4 for a few days now and really like it. I do have a question, though.

The RSS feeds I’m using have a built in sort order of most popular items first. Using other RSS parsers the items do show up that way (most popular first). However, using Feedzy the items are showing up in a different order (I think it’s newest items first, but I’m not sure). Is there a way I can override/change that order? I prefer Feedzy over the other products I’ve tested but this is a bit of an issue for me. Thanks.

    Hey @festus17,

We display the feed items in the same order as they are in the RSS feed, without any alteration.

Basically if the feed provider does sort them by popularity, you will have them sorted by popularity.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks !

Thank you for the reply. I love the plugin. But it doesn’t seem to be sorting them the way I think it should. So, I’m probably doing something wrong the the RSS feed itself. At least now I know and can work with the feed.

    Thanks again.

I’m not so sure the sorting is as you describe and does appear to sort by the date received by the RSS feed.

    For example:

    RSS Feed: https://winnipeg.ctvnews.ca/rss/ctv-news-winnipeg-1.822382
    Site (using Feedzy RSS): https://mytoba.ca

The order in the RSS feed is not by date but by promoted article (same scenario as festus17) and what I’m seeing rendered on the site is by date not by order in the feed.

From what I can tell from the SimplePie docs, sorting by date is enabled by default (https://simplepie.org/wiki/reference/simplepie/enable_order_by_date). There is a switch to disable, any ideas of how to implement that switch?

Hi, I agree with mtskb: I’d like to know how to switch off the default plugin sort order. Thank you.

I’m having the same issue. The rss feed is a different order than what’s showing using the plugin.
