Sort order when importing

    Are you importing just photo files or complete folders with photos to albums; if the latter, are the albums newly created during import or already existent.

    Pls check:
    Table IV-D1: Album order
    The sub-album ordering method on the album admin page of a possible parent album, if you are importing dirs to (sub)albums.

    I can not imagine that any album ordering method is changed when importing photos.

    Hi Jacob,

    No in each album and subalbum the sorting order is ok. Its when you have uploaded photos (for example by ftp) to the Depot and want to put them in an already existing subfolder

    [Import Photos] -> [Default Album for Import]

    When you want to see that list, its somehow sorted in an interesting way – prob. by ID and not as previsously by name.

    This is typically a case of: fixing one bug causes the other.

    I upgraded, rather late, to 4.8.Lots and lots of problems, sigh, most now fixed but my webmaster can’t seem to fix the following:

    1. When I go to the dropdown menu to Upload photos, the dropdown menu is not in alphabetical order, as it used to be. I have hundreds of albums, I need to upload to a parent album, and find this missing feature very annoying as I have to scroll through album names which are all over the place. Need back in alphabetical order. Can it be fixed please?
