Sort posts by dates – Ascending

    Hello, I’m Michel (in France).
    Win 8.1
    WP 4.8
    Poseidon – the last one (1.2.4, I think)

    I use your wonderful theme since more than one year for my website ; it’s a pleasure for me to use it (I’ve made a child-theme to modify a few).

    My question is : I would like to sort all my posts (not Pages) – on my website in : “Journal de bord”, “Avant le départ”, and all others choices – by dates : Ascending.

    To make this, I have two solutions :

    1 – try to write (in a php file) : [query_posts($query_string . orderby=date$order=ASC’);] but I can’t find the good place to write it ! (and with an update, I think this sentence will be destroy ?),

    2 – ask you to add this fonctionality in your theme (better solution for us !).
    Thanks a lot to try to insert a checkbox (sort by …) in your theme.

    Thanks for using Poseidon.

    I’m sorry to tell you that we do not have any intentions to add that functionality to our themes, since most likely only a handful of users would need it.

    There are also plugins which allow you to display the posts chronological, which makes more sense than a theme option. For example: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/chronological-posts/

    You can simply install the plugin to achieve an ascending post order.
