    Yes, this is possible… here’s how:

    When adding an entry, add a new Custom Field name of “order” (no quotes). After adding it the first time, it’ll be available in the Custom Field Name dropdown.

    In the value field, add a numerical priority. 1 being highest priority.

    IMPORTANT: You will have to add this to every entry, otherwise they will NOT be listed. For the entries where the priority is not important, simply set the value to 999 or any other high number of your choosing.

    On the page where you inserted the [connections] shortcode, add the order_by option like so:

    [connections order_by='meta_key:order|NUMERIC_ASC,sort_column']
