• I have an album of over 250 photos, which have been obtained from a variety of sources, and which I’d like to order roughly chronologically. I can’t use EXIF data as not all photos have them.

I could of course separate them into different smaller albums, but I’d rather not if possible.

I can of course sort by hand, but that is fiddly and time consuming, as I can only move one picture at a time. (If there was a way of bulk moving, so I could pick up, say ten photos and move them all at once, that would be terrific!).

I’ve tagged them all; it would be nice to sort them first by tags, and then by hand within those groups.

Is there a straightforward way of ordering a large number of pictures by hand?

    Many thanks,
    Alasdair

Go to the Photo Albums -> Settings admin page, and open Table IV ( Behaviour ) by clicking on its banner, than open subtable C ( Thumbnail related settings ).
Select Order # in the selection box in line 1 ( Photo order ).

Go to the Photo Albums -> Album admin page.
Click on the green Seq link right before the red Delete link of the album involved.

Scroll down to Manage Photos – Change sequence order by drag and drop

Drag and and drop the thumbnails to get the desired sequence.

Thank you very much – yes that is in fact what I have been doing already, but moving 250+ photos one-by-one is a very slow process.

What I’d like – if possible! – is some method of moving several (or many) photos at once.

By the way, WPPA+ is a wonderful plugin – thank you for your hard work in making it available!

    cheers,

You do not need to wait every time until all the spinners are gone, just continue dragging.

What I’ve done in the end is divide the album into three “child” albums, each with a smaller number of photos. This makes each album much more manageable.

    Thank you very much!
