• Hi,

I’m facing an issue when sorting in the brand page. when i go to a brand page, then i filter my shop based on price for example, it sorts the whole store, not only the brand it self.

can you see into this issue please ?

    Thank you.

Here are an example when sorting a brand page:-

    Link with no sorting:
    /product-brands/astro/

Ling when clicking on sort by price low to high:
    /shop/?source_id=astro&source_tax=yith_product_brand&orderby=price

and result is : sorting all products by price.

the link should be like this:
    /shop/?source_id=astro&source_tax=yith_product_brand&yith_product_brand=astro&orderby=price
    the missing part is “yith_product_brand=astro”

i hope you can fix this.

    Thank you.

I have the same issue for months and couldn’t solve it until today. Yith was saying this is a standard WooCommerce behavior and WooCommerce is saying that the Xith Filter is the issue :/

I am really interested to solve this issue. Looking forward to hear anything new…

    Thanks

    Hi there,

thanks to reach out. YITH Filter plugin don’t change the Sorting Query and you can check this simply deactivating the plugin and click on a filter url like this /shop/?source_id=astro&source_tax=yith_product_brand&yith_product_brand=astro&orderby=price
    the missing part is “yith_product_brand=astro”

if the problem disappears the issue is from YITH plugins, otherwise not.
    This in a general view.

However, for more details about sorting and brand filters, please contact us on our support platform because you have a dedicated support for commercial products.

    Hi Yithemes,

thank you very much for your response. In my case it doesn’t solve the issue. We may have misunderstood each other. In my case, the error only occurs if you have already filtered the products via the Plugin filter (e.g. limited to a brand) and now want to sort the already filtered products again e.g. by price. Then all previously defined filters are deleted.

The standard WooCommerce filtering works otherwise without problems.

I have already dealt with my theme support and after some tests they have clearly said that it is not the theme and probably not WooCommerce.

    Thanks

    Hi again,

I was trying to create a ticket via your support homepage. Unfortunately I can’t activate any products because I am using the free version of your plugin. Does it mean you are only provide help to persons who have purchased the premium version of your product?

In the meanwhile I have figured out, that the issue occurs definitely because of the Yith Plugin. I have once again deactivated all plugins except of the Yith Filter Plugin and switched the Theme to the standard Twenty Nineteen Theme. The issues was still existing. After I have turned off the Yith Plugin, everything worked well. So it must be an Yith issue.

    Can you please help here?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,

If you click on the sorting of WooCommerce you lose the filters, it’s normal because that sorting has no URL, it doesn’t have a filter that we can use to customize it.

If you disable the plugin it’s true that you don’t lose the sorting, but you are not filtering. With WooCommerce filters it works because it doesn’t use Ajax calls.

    Hi,

thanks for your reply. So this means you can’t filter categories via YITH and because of that, you need to use the standard category filter by WooCommerce.
If now someone is filtering an category and wants to combine it with any other attribute by the YITH filter, it won’t work. This is the standard behavior?
So this means the YITH filter is useless, because the first step to filtering is the category and since YITH can’t provide an category filter, it is useless ?? In that case I unfortunately need to deactivate the YITH filter and go back to standard by WooCommerce. Of course it does reload after every filtering, but it is important that it works. Thanks for your help.
