Sorting (and other data tables options) broken.

Most likely, the reason for this is a JavaScript conflict with the theme or another plugin. Please post the link to the page with the table where these features are not working, and I’ll gladly take a look. Thanks!

This is really strange. I can not spot an obvious reason for this (like definite error message that normally show up when this happens), but I do have a suspicion: The “TDD Progress Bar” is raising an error that might be responsible here.
Could you therefore please temporarily deactivate that plugin and try again?
If that does not help, it might be your theme, as that also has some unconventional “output”. So, if it’s not that plugin, please temporarily switch to the WordPress default theme TwentyThirteen, to see if your theme plays a role in this.

There’s a javascript Error with Animate.js. Once there’s a javascript error, it prevents all other javascript after from running, and the datatables sorting script is obviously after.

Do you know if the theme is loading that script, or a plugin? Update everything to see if that fixes it.

Are you familiar with how to use the javascript console? To show the developer tools hit F12. In chrome, the right tab, “console”. Firefox, there’s a console tab as well, I forget exactly where.
It says: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘backgroundPosition’ of undefined animate.min.js?ver=.3:1

Yes, that’s the JS error I meant, and the animate.min.js file is from that “TDD Progress Bar” plugin, so that’s indeed most likely to cause this.

Oh guys thanks! Also, I’m going to be changing my theme very soon because it’s quite “heavy”… I’ll let you guys know what happens with the .js
