I have all my attributes set to Custom ordering. This should make it possible to drag and drop by the handles on the right to order the attributes. That does not work.

I open Products->Atributes and then select to edit attibutes. After that I order the attributes by draging them by the handle. Each time I drag an attribute and then release it in its new position there is a spinning icon displayed and the order of the attributes in that list is changed. When I then click on Products->Atributes again I can se that nothing has happened with the order of the attributes in the list. The attributes in the list of attributes are still in wrong order. If I select to edit the attribute again, the attributes that I just ordered correctly are no longer correctly sorted in the order I just ordered them in. They have reverted back to the original wrong order. I have also tried sorting by name. That does not work. I have tried sorting by Name(Numeric) that does not work. I have tried sorting by id. That does not work. The attributes order does not change at all no matter which of the available sorting options I choose.

    Hi @alijens

I understand that you’re having trouble with the custom ordering of your product attributes.

This issue might be due to a possible conflict with your theme or other plugins. The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

I hope that helps! Let me know once you have done a conflict test!
