Sorting by Custome Category Order not working

Here is my shortcode:

[wpfilebase tag="list" showcats="1" sortcats="cat_order" /]

Changes to the “sortcats” parameters (e.g. cat_num_files) have no affect whatsoever.

My goal is to have the categories sorted by “custom sort order”

I am using the free version of filebase. Running on WPengine.
