Sorting by Event Date not Post date

    I am VERY NEW to WordPress. It was suggested that I utilize The Events Calendar plugin for posting events. What I can’t figure out is how to have the events sorted by DATE OF EVENT and not the date of creation of the event.

    I’ve read many SUPPORT posts here but I can’t seem to make any sense out of the replies.

    Is there a check box somewhere in the settings for this plugin that I am not seeing?

    Hi @jlabenberg

    Thanks for reaching out.

    When you view the events from your events page, it is sorted by event date and not by post date. [See- New User Primer: The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro]

    By any chance, are you viewing the events using a post block or widget where you filter the post type to tribe_events? If so, then that is the expected behavior since the posts blocks/widgets are sorted by post date.
